Make Windows vista/7/8 Bootable USB manually using command Promt:
This will explain, how to make a bootable usb drive manually using command Promt in windows vista/7/8.To do this you have need :
1. A USB drive (at least 4 GB space)
2. An ISO Mounting tool(UltraISO, Demon tool)
3. ISO Image file of Operating system.
Make sure that the usb drive is empty, because the process were attempt to format the usb drive.So keep Backup of usb drive files.
Now follow these steps :
1. First download Ultraiso From here & install it.Then double click in the iso file & click the Mount button to Mount the ISO file in a virtual drive,
something looks like this
2. Then open the command promt as Administrator & type " diskpart " and then press enter.
3. Then type the " list disk " & hit enter.
These are all storage drive of the system. Then select the USB drive which will be listed in the disk list. In my case " Disk 2 " is the USB drive.Be careful to select this, don,t select the another.
4. To select the disk type " select disk 2" & hit enter.('disk 2' will indicate the usb drive)
& then Use these commands
clean
select partition 1
Active
Format fs=ntfs quick
Assign
Then type 'exit' & hit enter & then locate virtual drive in the command promt. To do this note down the virtual drive letter.in My case This is "F" & type these commands:
F:
cd boot
bootsect.exe /NT60 K:
where K is my usb drive letter.Then close the command promt & Open the virtual drive & copy all the Files & folders into usb drive.
Thats it!!.The bootable USB drive is ready to use.To Boot with usb drive Restart the system & go to Bios setup & change the Boot order to "Removable device" & save it then restart the system.
Then the system will boot with the usb drive.

Installing Ubuntu in Virtual Box
Ubuntu is an Operating system which is Based on Linux kernel & Dibain Distribution.Ubuntu is a Free & open-source Operating System.To install Ubuntu in Virtual Box Follow these steps :
1. To install & configure the Virtual_Box check this Post.
2. Now Download The Ubuntu ISO image file from http://www.ubuntu.com .
3. Run the Virtual_Box & click on the 'NEW' button in the Menu Bar. IN the name section Type the name of the OS which you want to give it & in the 'Type' choose Linux & in Version choose 'Ubuntu'. Then click next.
In the next window set the amount of RAM which you want to gave the Guest OS.For Ubuntu set it at 512 MB, then click next.
In the Next window choose second Radio button, then hit the 'create' button.
In the next window choose second radio button which is 'VMDK' & click next.
& next window choose First radio button, then click next.
In the next window set the mount of virtual HDD space for guest OS.For Ubuntu 8 GB space is preferable & then hit the 'create' button.
4. Now click on the 'Settings' tab which is in the main window of the VirtualBox & then click on the 'Network' tab.
In the Network tab go to the 'Adapter 1'. In 'Attached to' section change the 'NAT' to 'Bridged Adapter' & in the name section choose the 'Microsoft Loopback Adapter'.
Then go to the 'Adapter 2' & check the 'enable network Adapter' & in 'Attached to' section' choose the 'Host Only Adapter' then click ok Button.
5. In the main window click 'Start' Button & Browse the downloaded Ubuntu ISO file then hit start button.
6. When Ubuntu is Booted up, then Install window will appear. In this window click on the 'Install Ubuntu' button.
Then click 'continue'. Then in the next window choose the first installation type & click next then click 'Install Now' button.
In the next window will says you to fill-up the basic information about tou like where are you, key Board Layout, Your name, computer name, password etc, Fill up it & click to continue button.
Wait for 10 to 20 minuts for the installation process.When installation is complete then click on the 'restart' button.
7. Then enter the password & log in the system.Now we have in the Ubuntu Desktop. Then go to the 'Devices' Menu in the Menu-bar & click on the 'Install Guest Additions'.
When a Pop-up Box comes-up then click OK, then in the next box click 'RUN' and then enter the password and click ' Authentacate ' Button & wait for the installation process.
when installation is complete then restart the system. Thats it..!!

Create a virtual Lab using VirtualBox in Windows
This article will be introduce you to how to create a virtual Lab for Practice Hacking as well as penetration testing using VirtualBox in windows operating system. VirtualBox is a free & Open-Source softwere to virtualize many operating system in a single HOST operating system.The system requirements for creating virtual Lab are at least 4 GB Ram & minimum 25 GB space on HDD.The Amount of HDD space are depends on the number of OS which you want to install on the VirtualBox. To install & configure VirtualBox in Windows OS Follow these steps :
1. Download the virtualBox set up file from http://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads & install it.
2. In the network Configuration we have create two networks.First is the virtual LAN or Local Area Network. To create that go to the start Button and Type 'Device Manager' & Then click on it.
Then right click on the Main Tab which is your PC name & then click on the 'Add legacy hardwere' then click next.
In the next window choose the second Radio button and click next.
In the Next window Scroll Down & choose the 'Network Adoptors' & click on next.
Then In the Next window In 'Manufacturer' box click on the 'Microsoft' & in the 'Network Adoptor:' box scroll down & choose the 'Microsoft Loopback Adoptor' & then click next.
In the next box click next again & then click Finish.
3.The second network is Host only Adapter. To create that run the VirtualBox go to File Menu & click on the 'Preferences' then click on the network Tab.
In the Network Tab click on the '+' Sign Which is add a Host Only adaptor. When an Authorization Box will comes up then click Yes & then click ok.
Thats it.!! we have create a Virtual Lab with two virtual networks.
